INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
Individual Therapy
People choose individual psychotherapy for many reasons. Generally, they are unhappy with themselves, a situation they find themselves in or a relationship.
They may be anxious, depressed, sad or feel that life is out of control.
They may feel stuck and not know how to move forward in life.
Some people may be unhappy at work, have difficulty relating to co-workers and not know how to ask for what they need.
Conflicts at home also cause people to seek individual therapy. There may be conflicts with a sibling, parent and/ or spouse.
Whatever drives you to seek help, I will listen to your situation and problems and discuss your goals. I will also consider your childhood and family background. We’ll work together to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and develop a way to cope with and overcome the issues that brought you here.
One thing I would like to emphasize is that people who seek therapy are not weak in any way. In fact, they are strong and very brave. It takes courage to seek help, to face what isn’t going well for you in life and find a new path forward.
I congratulate you for seeking my help!
An individual session lasts 45 minutes and is online via Zoom. We’ll choose a day and time and typically meet once per week at that agreed day and time.
Because I want psychotherapy to be accessible to everyone who needs it, I work on a sliding scale fee. This means that I account for your resources and expenses. Fees will be discussed during the first session.
