GET TO KNOW ME
I have lived in the United States for the past 40 years. I left Thailand to study there as a teenager and landed in Kentucky. At the time, I spoke very little English and had to quickly learn to acculturate. As a student, I moved around the United States and went to Ohio and Vermont. I developed a passion for psychology, and after finishing high school, I studied psychology and human service, along with music, at Clark University, in Worcester, MA. In 1992, I moved to New York City to attend New York University to pursue a career in psychotherapy.
I formed my most lasting relationships in Massachusetts and in New York City, where I met my spouse. I recently relocated back to Thailand and now live in Chiang Mai. After 4 decades of living in the Western world, and although I am a “native”, adaptation is knocking on my doorstep. My hope is while I become re-integrated, I will have an opportunity to help individuals in the communities as well. When I am not at work, I also enjoy photography, pottery, gardening, bike riding, reading, cooking, and snorkelling.
